Brushy Creek offers 5.5 miles of designated horse trails. Horse enthusiasts are able to experience a delightful forest setting and uncharacteristically steep terrain of Mississippi. Facilities also include a primitive camping area and a small day use area. Brushy Creek is open year-round unless weather conditions require the area to be closed. No user fees required.
Area Use Regulations
Located in Liberty, Miss, and nestled in the Homochitto National Forest, this area features rolling hills and a lush forest full of large timber and meandering creeks. There are miles of trails, although some are not marked. Trails range from easy to moderate. The camp is closed in mid-November thru mid-January during hunting seasons. Trail rides are offered every weekend starting in mid January through the spring and summer to the fall. Ride with a group or alone. Vistors are able to enjoy cookouts along the trail and potluck suppers. Bring a dish and join the group for an evening of food and fun around the campfire.
Electricity, water, 20 sites. Some cabin rental. No stalls, pickets ok.
