Canoeing,Tubing, & Kayaking

 

Canoeing, kayaking, and tubing are three activities that are almost prevalent year around. With the many lakes, rivers, and streams, Scenic Rivers can accomodate anyone looking to take advantage of the vast stretch of waterways.

When visitors take time to slow down, relax and explore the southwest part of the state from the seat of a canoe or kayak, they find there are miles of slow moving, wildlife laced rivers to discover.

Each year, thousands also flock to the area to take part in the great sport of tubing. One of the areas most popular local destinations is the Bogue Chitto River. Here at the river, visitors are able to rent kayaks, canoes and of course inner tubes, as well as grab a quick bite before loading a bus to the “put in” spot. For the more adventurous at heart, there are many other, less traveled, areas to drop paddle. One just has to get out there and discover all the area has to offer.
